About

I am a fifth-year PhD student in economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, originally from Charleston, SC. I work on public finance, computational methods, and macroeconomics.

My current research studies the taxation of capital and bequests, high-skill immigration, and flood insurance. Earlier work includes open-source modeling for inverse-optimal tax methods and reducing bias in machine-learning estimators.

Before my PhD, I completed a BS in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics at the University of South Carolina (the real USC). Go Gamecocks!
